Profession Guide

Profession Guide Untitled-design

Table of Contents:

Introduction:

Choosing a profession is a pivotal aspect of character creation in the realm of Duskfall. Your character's chosen profession defines most of their skills/abilities, role in society, and initial experiences. This guide provides an overview of available professions, their benefits, and the application process.

A Choice To Be Made:

Choosing the Profession:

When selecting a profession for your character, consider the following factors:
  •     Character Concept: Reflect on your character's concept, personality, and background. Choose a profession that aligns with their story and motivations.

  •     Skills and Abilities: Each profession offers unique skills and abilities as options to choose from when starting out and progressing. Consider the type of gameplay experience you desire and choose a profession that complements your preferred playstyle.

  •     Role in the RPG World: Think about the role you want your character to play in the RPG world. Whether it's a formidable warrior, a cunning spy, or a wise scholar, your profession shapes your character's place in the narrative.

  •     Profession Benefits: Explore the benefits each profession provides. Some offer combat advantages, while others focus on wealth accumulation, knowledge, or stealth. Choose a profession with benefits that enhance your character's strengths.

  •     Alignment and Faction Affiliations: Consider how your chosen profession aligns with your character's alignment and potential faction affiliations. Certain professions may be more compatible with specific factions or moral alignments. But, these aren't strict guidelines, and players are more than free to be an alignment or in a faction that isn't recommended for the chosen profession.
